Our partner is a leading European destination management company, experts in creating tailor-made itineraries and events, inspiring bespoke solutions for agents and event planners who serve a broad range of travelers, for more than 40 years now.
Their business is expanding, and we are looking for an Contracting Manager, based in the office in Timisoara.

You’ll be working with all of Europe as a destination and our client base is global.
The position is full time and we would require a minimum of 3 years’ experience of similar duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Contract Management:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to secure reliable and cost-effective transport services.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with transport providers, ensuring the best possible deals and service levels.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with transport suppliers, ensuring all terms comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transport service providers.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Collaborate with the operations team to forecast transportation needs based on tour schedules and client requirements.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of transportation services, minimizing delays and disruptions.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential transportation issues or emergencies.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage the transportation budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
- Report on financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all transportation contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues related to transportation services.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting transport services.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with the operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination of transportation services.
- Provide guidance and support to team members involved in transport-related activities.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, contract management, or logistics, preferably within the travel or transportation industry.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.

Working Conditions:
- Office-based position with occasional travel required to meet with suppliers and inspect transportation services.
- Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate different time zones and urgent operational needs.
Required Language Skills – Fluent ENGLISH – MUST , French, German, Polish are all plus points.
Salary – NET salary subject to experience + performance bonus (twice yearly). Rellocation contribution, only refundable if candidate leaves within 6 months.
